LOCAL 595 RETIREE CLUB

Our great Club has been in existence since 1973, and recently we celebrated our 32nd Anniversary. We've come a long way from our humble beginnings in the basement of our old building in Oakland, where members enjoyed "Pot Luck" and played Bingo for entertainment At one time we relocated to our Training Center in San Leandro until we made a final move to our present location at Local 595's Headquarters in Dublin.

About 13 years ago new ideas and pleasureable fun activities were introduced and Jack McCann, who was then the International Vice President of the IBEW Ninth District, said we were the largest and most active Retiree Club on the West Coast, and he added, probably the best in the entire Country.

We now have a monthly Newsletter to keep you informed and once a month we have a 1 to 10 day trip, to a desirable and interesting place. As an example, fly to Branson, New Orleans, etc., or ride in Deluxe Motorcoaches to other destinations. The Hotels and Restaurants we select are the best.

We also have a once-a-month catered Luncheon with entertainment and in mid-August a BARBECUE with a Western Band. Also, in December, a festive Holiday Luncheon with entertainment at Francesco's.

We realize you probably have looked forward to retiring for a long time and have many things planned. You will be able to do these things and still squeeze in an occasional "get-together" with our Club. We are a happy, carefree and fun-loving group, who always enjoy some of the finer things in life.

Dues are only $15.00 per year, per member ($30.00) per couple.
